In this six-week 11+ Creative Writing course aimed at Year 5 students, we focus on building strong foundations in writing, developing technical accuracy, clear structure, and essential stylistic skills in preparation for 11+ assessments. Students will learn how to craft engaging openings, develop characters effectively, build tension, and write purposeful endings. We will also embed key techniques such as figurative language to enhance description and overall quality of writing. Lessons are carefully structured, fast-paced and interactive to ensure maximum engagement and progress.
Maximum of 5 students per group.
Lessons will be delivered online via Google Meet.
Weekly homework tasks will be set to consolidate learning.
Including an end-of-unit assessment with a detailed progress report.
