In this six-week 11+ Reading Comprehension course for Year 5 students, we build strong foundations in reading, focusing on developing the skills and strategies needed to approach a wide range of texts with confidence. Students will learn how to tackle different question types, including vocabulary, retrieval, inference, and explanation, while developing techniques for analysing language, identifying tone and author intent, and selecting precise evidence. We also focus on improving clarity in written responses and building effective exam technique. Lessons are structured, fast-paced, and interactive to ensure high levels of engagement and progress.
Maximum of 5 students per group.
Lessons are delivered online via Google Meet.
Weekly homework is set to consolidate learning.
Includes end-of-unit assessment with a detailed progress report.
