I cover narrative writing, persuasive writing, discursive essays, poetry, letters, reports and more. Your child learns to plan, structure and refine their work. I mark every piece personally and give specific, written feedback, no generic comments.
3. Grammar and Spelling
I teach grammar in context so your child understands the rules and can use them in their own writing. We cover sentence structure, punctuation, word classes and spelling patterns, all at the right level for your child.
4. Exam Preparation (When Needed)
If your child will sit GCSEs, entrance exams, SATs or any other formal assessment, I make sure their English is ready. I know what examiners expect and I prepare students to meet those expectations confidently.

How is this different from regular online tutoring?
Regular tutoring often tops up school learning. My online homeschooling tuition is designed to be the core English provision for children who aren't in school. I plan a progressive programme, not just ad hoc sessions.
Do you follow a specific curriculum?
I use the National Curriculum as a reference point, but I don't follow it rigidly. If you use a specific home education curriculum or philosophy, I'll work with it. The important thing is that your child makes real, measurable progress.
Can my child join a small group?

What ages and levels do you cover?
I work with children from Reception to GCSE level. The content, pace and approach are completely different at each stage, but I'm experienced across the full range.
How do I know my child is making progress?
I give you regular, honest updates on what your child can do, what they're working on and what needs more time. I can also do optional formal assessments if you want to benchmark against age expectations.
